Whatever the project brief, fitness for purpose is fundamental, always thinking from the point of view of the eventual audience while remaining sensitive to the varied corporate styles and cultures of the clients for whom I work.

Before going freelance, I was project manager within an agency, working closely with clients and commissioning writers, editors, designers, photographers and printers.

My knowledge and understanding of the publishing process from conception to completion offers clients added value now, enabling me to contribute expertise beyond the usual confines of copywriter or translator and when appropriate to project manage parts of the project on behalf of the client.

I like to build long-term relationships based on mutual respect and trust – it’s teamwork after all that produces the best results. And because I’m by nature an organised person, I work fast and believe in deadlines.

If by chance you don’t have a need-by date I’ll probably set myself one anyway because I like something to aim at. So you might end up with copy sooner than you expected it!
